Recap
Aberdeen completed their preparations for their opening Europa League tie next week with a 1-1 draw against West Bromwich Albion in from of a 6,527 plus crowd at Pittodrie.
Sam Cosgrove was on target with a 37th minute goal, which he nodded in past Jonathan Bond from a Gary Mackay-Steven cross. West Brom levelled shortly afterwards with a Jake Livermore tap-in.
Those were the only goals of the game, but the Dons nearly took the lead again when Scott McKenna headed inches wide from Chris Forrester’s free-kick on 49th minute and we also had a strong claim for a penalty for handball against Kane Wilson on the 57th minute but ref Willie Collum wasn’t interested.
As the second half waned, with a series of subs being made by both sides, the game ended 1-1.
