Aberdeen FC January Transfer Latest

A quick round-up of the latest January transfer news from Aberdeen FC.

It has been very quiet, with mostly loan changes taking place as follows:

Alfie Bavidge

Alfie has extended his loan spell with Kelty Hearts until the end of this season.

Findlay Marshall

Findlay has joined Edinburgh City on loan for the second half of the season.

An AFC Youth Academy graduate, the 17-year-old joined the Youth Academy at U12 level and was previously part of the SFA Performance School at Hazlehead.

The central midfielder, who is also a Scotland U17 internationalist, signed a contract extension with the club in the summer of 2023, committing his future with the Dons until at least 2026. Findlay has been a standout for the U18s over the past two seasons, and as well as training with the first team has also impressed whilst playing for the development side this year.

Dylan Lobban

Dylan has been recalled from his spell at Formartine United and the midfielder has joined League Two side Forfar Athletic on loan until the end of the season.

Evan Towler

Evan has been recalled from his loan spell at Montrose and will continue his recovery from injury at Cormack Park.

Liam Harvey

Liam has left the club and has joined Highland League side Buckie Thistle on a permanent deal.

Jayden Richardson

Jayden has been recalled from his loan spell at Stockport County and has joined EFL League Two side Colchester Utd on loan for the rest of the season.

Adam Emslie

Adam has extended his loan spell at Formartine United until the end of the season.

Aaron Reid

Aaron has joined Adam at Formartine United until the end of the season.

Jennifer Currie

Experienced goalkeeper Jennifer Currie has joined Aberdeen Women until the end of the season, arriving from Sion Swifts in Northern Ireland to strengthen options in this area. Jennifer has been capped by Scotland at youth international level and also featured in UEFA Women’s Champions League with former side Hibernian Women.

Keeley Banfield

Midfielder Keeley Banfield graduated through the Bristol City Academy and was captain of Bridgwater United last season and has joined Aberdeen Women until the end of the current campaign.

Lois Edwards

Lois  began her career in the Chelsea Women’s Youth Academy and following a successful campaign with Crawley Wasps the defender joined Watford in August 2022.  Lois will also be with us until the end of the current season.
