Lewis Ferguson scored his fourth goal of the season and scores yet another important goal for the Dons, a second overhead kick similar to his goal against Burnley.
Aberdeen made two changes to the side that lost to St Johnstone on Saturday. Sam Cosgrove returned from suspension and Niall McGinn made a start, with Connor McLennan and Dominic Ball dropped to the bench.
It was the Dons that started the scoring, after Sam Cosgrove chased down a ball on the right byline and flashed along the face of goal towards Niall McGinn who volleyed it in from six yards early in the first half.
The lead didn’t last long though, Livingston levelled three minutes later after Craig Sibbald intercepted a poor header back from Andy Considine, Joe Lewis did block the shot, but the ball rebounded to Scott Pittman who managed to lift it over Lewis into the net.
Livingston then seemed to grasp hold of the game and went ahead in the 34th minute after Jack McMillan completed a passing move down the inside right and drilled a shot home from a tight angle.
At the start of the second-half, Scott Wright was swapped for Connor McLennan. And the Dons made the second half their own, camping themselves in the Livingston half.
Aberdeen equalised in the 56th minute, with McLennan delivering a cross into the box for Cosgrove to hit high into the net.
From that point the Dons upped the pressure in a composed performance, but in desperate need of that breakthrough, and that game in injury time with the winner coming from Lewis Ferguson who produced yet another overhead kick into goal to secure the win for the Dons.
The win moves the Dons back into the top six of the Scottish Premiership.
