Record Breaking Year for Aberdeen FC – Turnover up 49%
Aberdeen Football Club has announced record-breaking financial results. The club’s annual turnover for the year ending June 2024 reached £23.6 million, a 49% increase from the previous year.
Despite a dip in player sales, the club’s EBITDA remained positive at £847,000. This positive financial performance is attributed to increased commercial and retail revenue, as well as a reduced wage-to-turnover ratio.
The club’s chairman, Dave Cormack, expressed satisfaction with the results, highlighting the club’s commitment to financial sustainability and footballing success. He also emphasized the importance of developing young talent and strengthening the women’s program.
Cormack also noted the recent surge in attendance at Pittodrie Stadium, with four consecutive sell-outs. He attributed this to the team’s strong performance and the club’s efforts to enhance the matchday experience.
As the club continues to invest in its academy and women’s programme, it aims to maintain its positive trajectory and establish itself as a leading force in Scottish football.
