Watford Defender Mattie Pollock Signs on-loan

Aberdeen Football Club this evening confirmed the loan signing of defender, Mattie Pollock from Watford.

Mattie joined the Hornets on a five-year deal following successful spells at Grimsby and Cheltenham Town in League One, where he picked up the Club’s Young Player of the Year award in 2021/22.

The club statement said:  “The Dons fought off stiff competition to land the 21-year-old, an aggressive, dominant defender, who was keen to secure regular first team football experience.

Mattie will meet his new team-mates at Cormack Park tomorrow and will go straight into the squad, pending international clearance, for Wednesday’s match cinch Premiership match against St Mirren.”
