Ted Lasso Season 2 Returns July 23

AFC Richmond makes a return to the big screen this July under the leadership of coach Ted Lasso.

Ted Lasso is based on a series from Jason Sudeikis who fronted promos for NBC Sports in the US that aired in 2013.

Sudeikis plays a small-time college football coach from Kansas hired to coach a professional soccer team in England, despite having no experience coaching soccer. Hannah Waddingham, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, Goldstein, Phil Dunster and Nick Mohammed co-star.

The series was renewed for another season just days after its August 2020 debut, and Season 3 was confirmed in late October, as Apple TV+ claimed Ted Lasso was one of it’s most popular original series on the platform.

Ted Lasso has been named as one of the 10 best comedies of 2020 and recently Sudeikis took home a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award and was nominated for Best Television Series, Musical or Comedy at the Golden Globes.
