STV HD Regions and Player For Sky

STV and Sky have signed a five year strategic partnership which will allow all regional variations of STV in HD to be launched on Sky, meaning viewers in all four STV regions (including the former Grampian / STV North region) access to programming in HD on Channel 103.

This will include the correct HD version of the STV News at Six and respective weather forecasts.

The service is due to launch in the first half of 2019.

The deal also brings STV’s on-demand service STV Player to Sky boxes on Sky Q and Sky+.
