Sky Sports – Pause Your Subscription
Sky are now offering their customers the opportunity to pause their sports subscriptions because there is not much live sport taking place.
Sky have confirmed in a statement that subscribers to its satellite service now have a new option to pause their subscription without penalty. The statement said: “While we expect that many of the recently postponed sports events will eventually go ahead if you wish to pause your sports subscription in the meantime you will not be charged a fee to do so or be held to any notice period.”
To pause your subscription you will need to phone Sky, there is not an option to do it online.
The pause doesn’t apply to any third party sports channels on Sky, such as BT Sport or Premier Sports.
Users of Sky’s Now TV online streaming service can choose not to continue taking any new Sky Sports Passes until there’s some new live sport on the channels they want to watch.
In addition Sky have also announced the following Free Extras:
- Sky Go Extra will be available to all customers for free, so busy homes will have access to Sky TV on three screens at the same time;
- Calls to UK landlines at any time of day will be free for existing Sky Talk customers from this weekend to the end of April 2020;
- All Sky Mobile customers will get a 10Gb data boost in their Piggybanks, free of charge. This can be shared across all the SIMs on the account;
- Call centres and engineers will prioritise the needs of existing customers to ensure their service keeps running smoothly;
- YouTube Kids and Disney+ will be coming to Sky Q in the next few weeks, to give families even more entertainment choices (Disney+ will be chargeable).
