Turf Moor

Red Army Supporters Guide to Burnley

Heading down to Burnley this week for our return leg UEFA Europa League qualifier?

All the info you need for fans visiting Turf Moor is available at this link.

This includes driving instructions, train and bus services, parking info and local accommodation plus stadium map and stadium facilities.

For this game, there is no permission for banners or flags due to limited space. If supporters are planning to bring flags and banners to Burnley, then the suggestion is to leave them on the supporters buses prior to the match.

AFC are taking four Stewards (employed by the club) along with their Safety/Security Team and Supporter Liaison Officer. They will be able to assist the Dons support in and around the stadium on match day. Supporters can expect to be searched and we ask them to abide by steward’s instructions. This will be the same protocol as SPFL matches.

Random ticket checks will be made to ensure that tickets are in the possession of the actual buyers.  Those found to have obtained tickets out with the agreed protocols will not be permitted entry.

The Ladbrokes Stand is shared between Aberdeen and Burnley fans with a double segregation fence. This will be stewarded and Policed. Any fans with tickets for the area next to the segregation fence will have to show their ticket each time they enter that area to prevent migration of fans from other areas.

Coach parking is initially on Harry Potts Way and closes about two and a half hours before kick-off. Any coaches arriving after the road closure will park in Belvidere Road, which is nearby.  If you haven’t advised the club that you have a bus attending, please do so.  If there are any important updates AFC or Lancashire Police will  will pass on.

The Cricket Club at the rear of the stadium (opens at 1.00pm) and the Hollywood Star on Manchester Road are welcoming Aberdeen FC supporters. Please be guided by door staff and Police in other areas. AFC fans are advised to avoid Yorkshire Street’s licensed premises.

Where to go and parking

Dons fans can go to the Burnley Cricket Club (right next to Turf Moor) and the Hollywood Star on Manchester Road.  Both have limited parking facilities for a small fee.

Please avoid using retail park/supermarket car parks as all have time limits.

There is plenty of parking in and around the town centre.  The stadium is only a five minute walk from town.

If you are travelling to/from Preston and Manchester, please leave plenty of time to catch your train after the match has ended.  The station is a good 15 minute walk from the ground and queues are expected.
