With the prospect of a return to Pittodrie on the cards shortly, we’ve looked at the specific feedback on the COVID-19 response to the AFC Big Supporters Survey 2021 to find out what the Red Army are thinking on their return to football this season.

Overwhelmingly, the Red Army are ready to get back to Pittodrie after nearly 18 months locked out of football.

Just over 2,800 people have responded to the survey so far.

We’ve posted the feedback from the questionnaire below on the specific COVID related responses.

  • South Stand (38.3%)
  • Richard Donald Stand (22.7%)
  • Red Shed / Merkland (18%)
  • Main Stand (15.6%)

The balance of the result was supporters that don’t attend matches (5.4%)

  • Lost employment / reduced working hours (2.3%)
  • Reduced income (2.3%)
  • A medical issue (1.6%)
  • Lost interest in football (2.3%)
  • Not applicable / other (91.5%)

The majority of other responses noted that the restrictions continue to prevent people attending matches.

  • No (11.3%)
  • Not intending to get vaccinated (2.4%)

70% of responders were not concerned about the financial stability of the Club.

  • Season ticket (50.8%)
  • Pay-per-view (PPV) (28.1%)
  • RedTV subscription (15.6%)
  • Not applicable (7%)

Responders to this question could select multiple options.

The majority of responders rate the RedTV coverage as 83.6% good to excellent.

41% of responders rated the other Scottish Premiership club coverage as good to excellent.

  • 91% of responders rated the response to COVID-19 from the Aberdeen FC Community Trust as excellent.
