Premier Sports To Broadcast Scotland Matches Until 2024
Premier Sports have been awarded the rights to games featuring Scotland for the next two years.
The deal includes the UEFA Nations League and European Qualifiers between 1 June 2022 and the start of UEFA Euro 2024.
The new deal also includes live rights to all other matches involving non-UK teams included in UEFA’s 2022-2024 national team football portfolio.
The first Scotland match under the new deal will be our UEFA Nations League fixtures versus Armenia on 8 June 2022.
Premier Sports has committed that highlights and certain live matches featuring Scotland will also be available free-to-air.
Premier Sports is available on Sky channels 421 and 429, Virgin Media channels 551 and 552 and can be streamed online via Premier Sports Player.
The broadcaster has also secured the rights for Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland matches. Wales matches is shared between Sky Sports and S4C. England matches will be shown on Channel 4.
This latest deal comes off the back of the recent award to the new streaming service, Viaplay .
The Viaplay deal covers all Scotland matches in the European Qualifiers to the FIFA World Cup 2026 and UEFA Euro 2028 and in the Nations League 2024/25 and 2026/27 including international friendlies
They will also be the home to matches featuring Wales and Northern Ireland.
Who are Viaplay?
Viaplay is the streaming service from Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT) covering mostly the Scandinavian and Baltic regions, but has since expanded across continental Europe.
It’s home markets covers films, dramas, factual and sports programming, and in some countries its sports portfolio includes live Premier League and F1.
Viaplay is expected to launch in the UK by October 2022.
