New DonsTalk Website Launched

A new updated DonsTalk website launched on Saturday evening, the first big upgrade to the Aberdeen FC forum since it’s launch in 2002 in readiness for the start of the 20/21 season.

The new website is mobile friendly, a big request from many users over the past few years.

Most of the content from the old site, including all the forum posts has been been taken across, so nothing has been lost in the move and there are loads of new features available:

  • DonsTalk is now fully compatible with smartphones and tablets (at last!);
  • A whole new forum posting experience, with easier formatting controls (and loads of extra emojis);
  • Mentions – mention other users simply by typing @name – it will notify the user they’ve been mentioned in a post;
  • You can embed content from YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram;
  • You’ll be able to shortly sign in with your social network login from the likes of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+;
  • And you’ll be able to share posts directly to social networks;
  • Easy Drag and Drop uploads – drag images into the forum post;
  • We have a whole host of new security features to make the site more secure;

The new website was developed in association with the Inverness Reds, who have hosted the DonsTalk website for the past 9 years.

The joint relationship between DonsTalk and the Inverness Reds will see continued development of the new platform, with further functionality being added over the coming months.
