Ebbe Skovdhal Passes Away
Former Aberdeen manager Ebbe Skovdhal has passed away at the age of 75 after a long illness.
Ebbe was manager at Aberdeen from 1999 to 2002 and proved popular with fans.
He brought the likes of Arild Stavrum, Hicham Zerouali and Roberto Bisconti to the club during his tenure.
Goalkeeper David Preece commented on Twiiter “I’m really saddened by this. So many ups and downs under Ebbe but will always be grateful to him for taking me to Aberdeen and glad I had the chance to tell him. Will never forget his Skovisms as long as I live.”
Aberdeen Football Club said: “Everyone at Pittodrie is saddened to hear of the passing of our former manager, Ebbe Skovdahl at the age of 75.
“Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.”
HIs personality, dry humour and genuine love for the club was clear to see. RIP Ebbe.
