Aberdeen Will Face FC Chikhura Sachkhere In Euro 2nd Round

With the Aberdeen win this evening against RoPS Rovaniemi in Finland, it means the Dons will face Georgian team FC Chikhura Sachkhere in the second round of the UEFA Europa League Qualifiers.

At the UEFA Europa League Qualifier draw in June, UEFA confirmed with Aberdeen FC that in the event that we progress to play FC Chikhura Sachkere and there is a clash of fixtures at the national stadium in Tbilisi with either FC Torpedo Kutaisi or FC Dinamo Tbilisi also qualifying for the second round, then our second round tie will be reversed with the away leg being played first and the home tie second.

FC Dinamo Tbilisi won their matches against Engordany 0-7 on aggregate.

Therefore, the away leg in Georgia will take place on Thursday 25 July 2019 and the home leg on Thursday 1 August 2019.

And a heads up, our opening Scottish Premiership match against Hearts at Pittodrie will move from Saturday 3 August 2019 to Sunday 4 August 2019.
