Young Dons Champions of Europe

Aberdeen FC are Champions of Europe (again!) thanks to the young Dons that took part in the Robin van Persie International Tournament in the Netherlands at the weekend.

The Dons eight and nine year olds faced Belgium sides Genk and Anderlecht, Dutch sides Excelsior and PSV Eindhoven as well as Manchester City in Group B of the competition.

They qualified in fourth place for the Europa League competition, and finished top of the group ahead of Werder Bremen and Slavia Prague to progress to the RVP Europa League Final against FC Nordsjælland from Denmark which was held today (Sunday 16 June 2019) winning against the Danish team.

Congratulations to everyone at the Aberdeen FC Youth Academy for this wonderful achievement.  Our future is in safe hands!
