Tommie Hoban To Continue Injury Recovery at Aberdeen

Tommie Hoban is ready to return to Aberdeen later this month and all going well Derek McInnes has refused to ruled out the potential signing of the player if fully fit.

The Republic of Ireland international will continue his rehabilitation from a knee injury at Pittodrie and would be expected to return to full fitness from his cruciate ligament injury in late October or early November.

Tommie suffered his injury setback while on loan at Aberdeen in February this year during our 2-2 draw against St Mirren at Pittodrie.

He suffered a similar injury to the other knee in pre-season training with Watford in 2017.

Derek McInnes told the Evening Express:  “Tommie has indicated he will take us up on our invitation to come up over the next two to three weeks to do some training with us.

“Tommie is still working through his rehab.”

“It is too premature [in signing him] that it is something that would automatically happen.

“But it is not something that we think definitely wouldn’t happen either.

“I enjoyed working with Tommie and he enjoyed working here.”
