FAQs

The capacity has been set as a starting point by the authorities. Having a smaller number in a confined space inside the stadium to start with reduces the risk and will allow us to collect information to prepare for larger crowds over the coming weeks and months.

5665 is the maximum number of fans we can accommodate whilst maintaining 1m physical distancing across all internal and seated areas & has been made up of ‘pods’ of two, three or four seats plus single seats.

Lateral Flow Test MUST be taken on matchday with the exception of children who are aged 12 and under as they are exempt.

There are several methods for getting free Lateral flow tests. To order the tests visit: https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests or over the phone by calling 119 between 7am – 11 pm and these will be delivered to you within 24 -48 hours via Royal Mail.

Each kit arrives with all the required equipment for 7 tests, and a detailed instruction booklet including information on the tests, how to administer them and how to report the result online.

You can also go to your local pharmacy and pick up a testing kit, please check online for participating pharmacies.

Or, Aberdeen University’s test facility at the Butchart Centre on University Road offers free lateral flow tests to anyone.

When your test has been completed you must register it on the NHS website, and you will be sent a confirmation email and text which details the negative result.

Supporters who have purchased a season ticket have the benefit of having their seat reserved for home cup matches and whilst they won’t get to use their seat for this match, we felt it the right thing to do to honour this benefit by providing priority access for season ticket members only on a first come first served basis.

In addition to that, unlike away games where Priority Points principally come into play, we also anticipate a higher number of groups of families and friends (3’s & 4’s) to attend this match and are aware that there will likely be varying numbers of Priority Points within these groups. By providing access to all season ticket members, we remove this obstacle and should be able to maximise attendance on the night.

Typically, 65% of season ticket members (4,325 for 21/22) attend our early round European qualifying fixtures so that gives us confidence that every season ticket member will have the opportunity to attend this fixture given we also know that many fans are not ready to return to the stadium yet.

Logistically, the quick turnaround required, and the need to maximise the capacity with groups of 3s and 4s meant that it made sense for supporters to select seats themselves unlike the club trying to assign seats as we did for the much smaller crowd of 300 for the test event against Kilmarnock last September.

The Main Stand will be unavailable for this match as the internal areas of the stand form part of the ‘Red Zone’ which must be restricted to Players & Officials only as part of UEFA’s Covid-19 protocols.

Priority access for the match will be given to season ticket members who have already signed-up for the campaign ahead. Any remaining tickets will be made available for sale from Tuesday 20th July at 9am and will be based on priority points.

Supporters who cannot attend will have the opportunity to watch online via RedTV. Further details of the broadcast will be announced in the coming days.

In order to maximise the capacity the seating plan has been set to allow groups of up to 4 to sit together.

You must have the client reference of each friend, and they must be part of your family and friend list to ensure you can purchase seats together as part of a ‘pod’

Accessible seating areas will be available as part of the ticket sales process. Supporters can also contact the Ticket Office for more information.

No, photo ID will be required for all supporters to access the stadium on matchday. This is to ensure that we can comply with government regulations and assist with test and protect if required.

Our commitment remains to recognise everyone who played a key part in getting our region to the stage we are at now; this will take place over the course of the season, hopefully from our match with Ross County on 28 August 2021, and we really can’t wait to celebrate their contribution to keeping us all safe. For now, the focus has to be on prioritising season ticket members to reward their loyalty.

If you purchase a match ticket but your circumstances change and can no longer attend, please let the ticket office know at the earliest opportunity.

We will then release your seat(s) to another season ticket member and issue a refund.

Yes.

Supporters who cannot attend will have the opportunity to watch online via RedTV. Further details of the broadcast will be announced in the coming days.
