Supporters Travel Info – St Mirren v Aberdeen

Aberdeen supporters travelling to Paisley for the St Mirren v Aberdeen match tomorrow should note that severe weather is forecast during the day that may affect travel to/from the match on both the road and rail networks.

Weather

The Met Office have issued Amber and Yellow weather warnings.

The AMBER warning is effective from 10am on Saturday morning to 6am on Sunday morning when freezing rain is expected to result in the rapid development of widespread ice, with very dangerous travelling conditions likely.  Black ice may form quickly affecting road and rail travel.

The YELLOW warning is effective from 9am on Saturday morning to 9am on Sunday morning, with periods of freezing rain, with snow later leading to dangerous travelling conditions.  There may be possible travel delays on the road and rail network.

Supporters should ensure that you are prepared for possible treacherous driving conditions.

Travel Advice

With the new Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route open between Craibstone and Stonehaven, supporters travelling South will have a quicker route out of Aberdeen.  Please check with local radio and Traffic Scotland for any delays en-route to Paisley and back.

Directions:

Fans should approach from M8 Junction 29 following signs Paisley A726 initially then follow the signs for football traffic (third set of lights after leaving the motorway).

Trains:

Trains run half hourly from Glasgow Central to Gourock and stop at Paisley St James Station which is opposite the stadium.

Bus Parking:

For away buses, you should park in Clark Street (North side).  Enter Clark Street at Greenhill Road – before the low bridge.

Car Parking:

Admission is available to stadium car parks via passes only.  There is limited £5 match day parking subject to availability in the white car park.  First come, first served.

On-street parking is available on MacFarlane Street (North side) / Clark Street (South side between MacKean Street and Greenock Road) MacKean Street (West side) and Ferguslie Park Avenue (beyond stadium perimeter).  Check that here is No Waiting / Parking Restrictions on ALL streets.

Away car park tickets will be issued to visiting disabled supporters for the disabled bays behind the Dome (indoor training facility) – these must be booked in advance via the Ticket Office.

At the Ground

Aberdeen supporters will be accommodated in the North Stand.  Please use turnstiles 17 to 20.  Tickets can be bought on the day from the away ticket office.  The kiosk is open from 1pm to 3.15pm.  Tickets are for allocated seating.  Turnstiles will open one hour before kick-off.  Please arrive early to avoid unnecessary queues.
