Stephen Glass Sacked

Stephen Glass has been sacked as Aberdeen manager.

The 2-1 defeat against Motherwell in the Scottish Cup looks to be the straw that broke the camel’s back and with the recent poor run of results, the writing was on the wall for Glass.

Dave Cormack was present at Fir Park yesterday and has acted.  Stephen and coaches Allan Russell and Henry Apaloo will leave with immediate effect.

Aberdeen are ninth in the Premiership and have had just one victory in seven matches in 2022, the 3-0 victory against Edinburgh City in the last round of the Scottish Cup.

The failed experiment is over.

In a statement on the club website, it said ” Aberdeen FC this morning confirms the departure of manager Stephen Glass.

Stephen has left the Dons with immediate effect alongside coaches Allan Russell and Henry Apaloo.

The Club would like to thank Stephen, Allan and Henry for their efforts and wish them the best in their future careers.

The process to appoint a new manager will commence immediately and a further update regarding the Club’s interim coaching team will be communicated shortly.”
