Scottish Premiership 2019/20 Season To Start 3rd August

The SPFL announced this afternoon some key dates for the upcoming 2019/20 season.

The Scottish Premiership will kick-off on Saturday 3 August 2019, with a winter-break from Monday 30 December 2019 to Friday 17 January 2020.

The Premiership will finish on 16/17 May 2020.

The Championship and League 1 play-off will take place midweek of 12/13 May 2020 and weekend of 16/17 May 2020 with the Premiership play-off final taking place on Wednesday 20 May and Sunday 24 May 2020.

SPFL fixtures for the new season will be announced in June 2019.

Betfred Cup

Betfred Cup five group stages will run from 13 July 2019 to 28 July 2019, Round 2 will be on the weekend of 17/18 August 2019, followed by the Quarter Final on 24 – 26 September 2019, the Semi-Final on 2/3 November 2019 and the BetFred Cup Final will take place on 7 or 8 December 2019.

Dates for next season’s Challenge Cup competition will be confirmed shortly.
