Scottish FA Make Mikey Devlin Red Card Determination Public

The Scottish FA belatedly have released the written reasons for the determination of the red card decision against Michael Devlin against Kilmarnock.

The defender was shown a straight red card early in our 2-0 defeat to Kilmarnock on 1st September 2018 after being deemed to deny Eamonn Brophy a clear goalscoring opportunity.

Derek McInnes called the decision by the panel as ‘incompetent’.

Subsequently, the SFA has since written to the International Football Association Board (IFAB) seeking “clarification” on the red card law after a number of recent high profile incidents in the Scottish Premiership since the start of the new season.
