The Inverness Reds are shocked and saddened to hear that Neal Cooper has tragically passed away following an accident on Sunday morning.

A Dons legend, the midfielder won two Premier Divison titles, four Scottish Cups and the League Cup with Aberdeen as well as the European Cup Winners’ Cup and European Super Cup in 1983.

In 1986, he left the Dons for English football with Aston Villa before returning to Scotland in 1987 for a spell with Rangers.

He then returned to Pittodrie where he was unable to play because of injury.  He then headed back south to Reading before coming back to Scotland again to play for Dunfermline and Ross County.

Following his playing career, he then went on to manage Ross County, Hartlepool Utd, Peterhead and Gillingham.

The thoughts of everybody at the Inverness Reds are with his family and friends at this very sad time.

RIP Tattie: 1968 – 2018
