Phased Return of Fans to Pittodrie Put On Hold Again

The phased return of fans to Pittodrie has been put on hold again, following the latest restrictions annnounced by the Scottish Government earlier today.

The Scottish Premiership season will still continue behind closed doors, with a decision on further pilot events due to take place at the earliest on 13 October 2020.

It means that Scotland’s Euro 2020 play-off semi final with Israel on 8 October will now take place behind closed doors as will the Nations League visit of Slovakia three days later.

The recent restrictions also put at risk the start of the lower-league football season in Scotland which is due to start on 17 October 2020.
