New COVID Rules Introduced for Scottish Football

New COVID rules will see attendance at Scottish football matches severely reduced from and including Boxing Day as the country attempts to slow the spread of the omicron COVID variant.

There will be a limit to 500 supporters in attendance at each game, with the new restrictions set to last a minimum of three weeks.

Physical distancing of 1 metre will also be required at events.

The Scottish Premiership starts a two-week winter break from January 3 2022.

The SPFL and SFA will now consider bringing forward the winter break by one break given the restrictions.

The three midweek Scottish Premiership fixtures will go ahead in front of full crowds before restrictions take effect, this includes our away match against Hibernian tomorrow evening.
