Matty Kennedy Signs Pre-Contract With Aberdeen

Aberdeen have confirmed this evening that Matty Kennedy currently with St Johnstone, has signed a pre-contract with the Dons on a three year deal.

The 25 year old will join the Dons from St Johnstone at the end of this season.

Matty has scored five goals in 21 appearances since joining Tommy Wright’s side in June, earning his first Northern Ireland call-up in October 2019.

Commenting on the club website,  Manager Derek McInnes said, “I’m pleased Matty has shown a real desire to join Aberdeen when there were other options available to him.

“Respectfully he remains a St Johnstone player, but I look forward to him joining us in the summer and working with him next season.”
