League Cup Semi-Final – Highland Main Line Rail Closure

Supporters travelling by train to Glasgow for the Scottish League Cup Semi-Final this Sunday (28 October 2018) should be aware that the Highland Main Line will be closed between Inverness and Perth.  Replacement road transport will run instead.

Work taking place includes the remodelling and extending the tracks at Aviemore station, extending platforms at Pitlochry and carrying our signalling upgrade works.

Sections of track will also be renewed near Perth, rock stabilisation works will take place near Dunkeld and Blair Atholl and under-track drainage improvements will be made near Carrbridge.

As a result, journey times may be extended.  Please check the ScotRail website for further information.

Advance notice to supporters travelling to Motherwell from Inverness by train on Saturday 24 November 2018.  The rail line will also be closed on this date and the same arrangements above will apply.
