Knee Injury Could Sideline Sam Cosgrove Till November

Sam Cosgrove could be ruled out for up to four months after suffering a knee injury during the closed-door friendly against Hibs at Pittodrie last Saturday.

It’s a blow for the Dons ahead of the season opener against Rangers on Saturday.

Derek McInnes was hoping the injury wouldn’t be too severe.  The positive is that scans have shown he won’t need surgery, but the injury could rule him out of action till November.

It’s a huge disappointment for Cosgrove who said he had unfinished business with Aberdeen after rejecting a move to French side, Guingamp.
