FlixBus Gears Up to Provide Rail Strike Relief for Dons Supporters Heading to Perth

The UK’s fastest growing coach provider FlixBus, which recently launched its dedicated daily Scottish network, is gearing up to support Dons supporters ahead of mass industrial action threatening to cause chaos this week.

As Network Rail staff plan further walkouts on 18 and 20 August, Scotland’s rail services are expected to be severely impacted.

Fares are available from Aberdeen to Perth and return for our Scottish Premiership tie against St Johnstone this weekend for as little as £4.99 single.

FlixBus Managing Director Andreas Schorling says regular daily services will be available for customers, particularly on popular routes between Glasgow, Perth and Aberdeen.

Schorling said: “Passengers are facing tough times at the moment, so FlixBus is committed to supporting Scottish customers with more coach services than ever before during rail strikes. Our services will minimise the impact of strikes on consumers, and ensure people are able to get around easily.”

“FlixBus is now providing reliable, affordable and eco-friendly journeys for millions of people in Scotland. Long distance buses remain the unsung heroes of the transport industry, and we aim to keep the country moving.”

The introduction of the new dedicated Scottish line, which connects Glasgow, Perth, Stirling and Aberdeen means the FlixBus network now serves over 40 destinations across the UK.

Tickets on the new route can be purchased at www.flixbus.co.uk, or the FlixBus App. Concessions using NEC cards will also be accepted on the service.
