Date of Scottish Cup 5th Round Tie Confirmed

Our Scottish Cup Fifth Round tie against Kilmarnock at Pittodrie will take place on Saturday 8 February 2020 with a 3pm kick-off.

The sides met in the Scottish Cup as recently as 2018 as Aberdeen progressed to the Semi-Final after two keenly contested matches before extra-time and eventually penalties separated the sides at Rugby Park in the Quarter Final Replay.

The Dons now have an opportunity to progress to the Quarter Final stage once again with your support!

Following on from the successful trial of the Merkland Stand as a traditional home end for our match with Dumbarton in the earlier round we can confirm that the trial will be extended for this crucial tie with Kilmarnock.

When asked for her reaction to the trial being extended for the Kilmarnock match, AFC’s Supporter Liaison Officer (SLO), Lynn Fiske commented, “The support in the Red Shed made a great difference to the atmosphere and I know that many supporters enjoyed having that experience here at Pittodrie. It was great to be part of it on the day and the feedback from the players and management has also been very positive, it is very exciting for everyone involved.

“Given that so many supporters who enjoyed it the first-time round are looking to do it all again I would encourage everyone to get their place early to avoid missing out!”

Demand is anticipated to be high for this section with 2,100 tickets available for the match with Kilmarnock. Supporters should note that whilst the Merkland Stand has a higher capacity, the number of tickets sold for the section must be reduced to accommodate unallocated seating. Furthermore, MKL 7 will be allocated seating as per the last match to accomodate families with young children, elderly and supporters with disabilities who wish to be part of the home end.

Merkland Stand Season Ticket holders who do not wish to enjoy the game in the active area can email ticketoffice@afc.co.uk with their stand and block preference and tickets required and we will arrange these following the release of any unpurchased season seats.

Tickets will be available to book online from 9.30am on Saturday 25th January online at afc.co.uk/eTickets, by calling 01224 63 1903 or visiting the Pittodrie Ticket Office.
