An Evening With Willie Miller
Come and join host Graham Spiers for an evening of stories, interview and debate with one of the enduring legends of Scottish football at Eden Court Theatre, Inverness on Thursday 30 April 2020, 7.30pm
Willie Miller enjoyed an incredible reign as Aberdeen player and captain, playing 797 games for the club and winning 12 major trophies in that time, including the 1983 European Cup Winners Cup. Voted the greatest player in Aberdeen’s history by the club’s supporters in 2003, Miller also played 65 times for Scotland.
Described by no less than Sir Alex Ferguson as “one of Europe’s great penalty box defenders”, Miller went on to be Aberdeen manager and then director of football before establishing a flourishing career in the media.
Known for his conviction as a player, Willie Miller is no less robust in his views on modern football – especially modern defending of which he often takes a dim view – and is an engaging speaker and opinion-maker on all things football.
Come and enjoy two hours in the company of this giant of Scottish football, during which members of the audience will be invited to put Miller on the spot about his great career or anything else that takes their fancy. The night will also focus, in part, on the current state of Aberdeen FC and the Scotland national team.
