Aberdeen to Host BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2019

The Times newspaper is reporting today (7 September 2019) and has been confirmed (17 September 2019) that Aberdeen will host the BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2019.

The ceremony will take place in December at the new P&J Live Arena.

It is a coup for Aberdeen and the new P&J Live Arena to host the event which opened on 8 August 2019 and has a 15,000 capacity.

The BBC Sports Personality of the Year has been previously held in London, Birmingham, Belfast, Glasgow and Liverpool.
