Aberdeen Sign Irish Youth Duo

Paul Sheerin has been adding to his Development Squad with the signing of two Irish Youth Internationals defenders, Conor Power and Luke Turner.

The duo who are currently with the development squad in Alicante for their pre-season trip were signed from St Patricks and Shamrock Rovers.

Paul Sheerin said on the club website:  “They were in at the tail end of last season for about ten days and both Conor and Luke really impressed during that period. They showed enough of their defensive abilities to hopefully improve us in that department going forward.

“We were a little bit light in that area of the field in the Youth Academy and the two of them fitted the bill. They both seem good lads as well and during the first week of training have looked very fit.

“Both players have recently achieved International Selection for Republic of Ireland U16’s, so they have a great pedigree and hopefully they will hit the ground running.”
