Aberdeen For All

During the 2017/18 season, over 500 season tickets were issued through the Aberdeen For All scheme, which was developed to reach deserving families and local community groups the chance to enjoy the matchday experience at Pittodrie.

Aberdeen For All is supported by sponsors Swire Oilfield Services, Burness Paull, Aberdeen Standard Investments and Simmons & Co International alongside support of a signification donation from the Dons Board.

Working alongside their partner charity, Aberdeen FC Community Trust (AFCCT), who already work with many local organisations and charities throughout the city to provide support and opportunity to those who need it most, the club will identify families and individuals who will benefit the most of this initiative.

Barry Douglas, Seaton Community Church Pastor commented on the club website: “The people this scheme is helping out are from under privileged backgrounds and who would not normally have access to football.  ‘You really get to see the joy being brought out in them when they receive their tickets. The tickets I have distributed so far have gone to families who will get a huge uplift from them and there are more out there who could benefit from this scheme.”

Ally Prockter, Chief Executive of AFC Community Trust added. ‘AFCCT is delighted to be working closely with Aberdeen FC in relation to their Aberdeen For All initiative. Social inclusion is a serious challenge which can be overcome in many ways, and for many people it is important that they feel as if they are part of something bigger.

‘Providing AFC match tickets to those who otherwise cannot attend home games is an important step towards making people feel included in our local community, and we work closely with the club and it’s sponsors to identify individuals and organisations who can benefit from becoming part of the Aberdeen FC family.’

The initiative was fantastically backed by the Red Army with over 2,000 supporters contributing throughout 2017/18 and it is hoped that many more will support the campaign once again.
