Aberdeen FC Women Win SWPL2 Title

Aberdeen FC Women secured the SWPL2 today (27 June 2021) with a 5-2 victory over Dundee Utd securing their place in Scotland’s top flight league next season.

It’s more impressive given the COVID interrupted season that the Women’s team has had, but their form before the extended break continued for them, securing the league title with two games to go.

It’s been a successful couple of years for the Don’s Women, having secured promotion from the Division 1 North last season, and then clinching promotion at the first time of asking in SWPL2 this season.

Two goals each from Eva Thomson and Francesa Ogilvie  as well as a strike from Bayley  Hutchison secured the emphatic win over Dundee Utd today.
