Aberdeen have launched their 2021/22 season ticket offering which will see the 2021/22 season ticket prices frozen.

Season Ticket 2021/22

Dave Cormack told the club website: “I’d like to thank the supporters who responded positively this season, giving our Club their backing as season ticket holders, in what was an exceptionally challenging period, resulting in the Club navigating through a £10million cash gap.

We couldn’t have got through the last year without it. Season tickets account for about 15% of the running costs of the Club and this revenue has never been so crucial to our survival in what has been a year like no other. Every penny of season ticket money has gone into sustaining the Club throughout this period.

Last summer we committed to offering supporters full value for their 2020/21 season tickets.  At that time, no-one envisaged a whole season of games behind closed doors! However, we have continually sought ways to deliver value, an example of which is the significant investment in our enhanced RedTV Matchday Live production for all home league matches to which season ticket holders received access and that has been well received.

We know that value this season will mean different things to different supporters, particularly households with multiple season tickets. But we will honour our promise and, those who feel they have not had value, will be able to claim a partial refund for the difference between the value delivered and the cost of their season ticket.

Supporters who are able or willing to forgo a partial refund and leave the money in the Club can be assured that this will go towards helping Stephen Glass and his new management team to build as strong a squad as possible for the new season.

In return, as a thank you gesture, those not claiming a partial refund will be able to attend the first domestic cup match in front of fans for free and free entry to a celebratory friendly/legends match during the 2021/22 season on a date to be confirmed. Full information regarding this process can be found in our FAQs below.

2021/22 is shaping up to be the most competitive Premiership season in years. Increasing season ticket sales is critical as to the team’s success where we must drive towards a more financially secure and sustainable Club. One that aspires to play in a new state-of-the-art stadium.

As we transition the Club towards a wider membership model, for this coming season we will deliver an enhanced matchday experience, such as the Red Shed, and an attractive pricing structure.

Key features include:

  • 2021/22 season ticket prices frozen (Majority for the third season in a row!)
  • Interest free options available to spread the cost over 4 & 6 months (interest paid by AFC)
  • NEW – 50% off for all U18s
  • NEW – Free season tickets for renewing AberDNA U12 members
  • NEW – Up to 40% off for renewing AberDNA Youth members
  • NEW – Season Ticket Member Cashback – The more season tickets we sell, the more you receive as Member Cashback!

We’ve stated that our aspiration is to reach 15,000 season ticket holders. That may seem like a tall order given historic numbers, but we believe with your support we can get there.  It’s going to take all of us to do it.

No-one is taking any money out the Club. 100% of our income goes to the success of the team. Our ask is this… persuade a relative or friend to join you and us as a season ticket holder at our home in Aberdeen this coming season.

Let’s do this together, relishing the challenge ahead of us and looking forward to welcoming each other back to our home at Pittodrie.

How is the club providing value for 2020/21 season ticket holders?

Last summer the Club made a commitment to season ticket holders that they would receive full value for the purchase of their 2020/21 season ticket, at that time we fully anticipated that fans would be back at the stadium long before the end of the season. Whilst the pandemic has prevented this throughout the full season we will offer supporters who do not feel as though they have had value a partial refund.

Although we haven’t been able to welcome supporters to Pittodrie we have invested heavily in providing an enhanced RedTV Matchday Live production for all home league matches which has been well received. Season Ticket Holders have received access to these matches through virtual season tickets, as well as Priority Points and discounts for the European matches, including the NSI Runavik match free of charge.

We recognise that value means different things to different people, particularly households with multiple season tickets, and with that in mind Season Ticket Holders who feel they have not had value will have the opportunity to claim a partial refund for the difference between the value delivered and the cost of their season ticket.

Whilst the offer of a partial refund is available at this stage, unlike some of our direct competitors, we would be extremely grateful if Season Ticket Holders who are in a position to do so can leave the value with the club where possible to allow Stephen Glass and his new management team to build as strong a squad as possible for the 2021/22 season.

As a thank you gesture any Season Ticket Holders who do not claim a partial refund will receive the following benefits:

  • Free entry to the first domestic home cup match which fans can attend
  • Free entry to a celebratory friendly/legends match during the 2021/22 season (Date TBC)

Season Ticket Holders seeking a partial refund should email ticketoffice@afc.co.uk by Thursday 27th May.

Will crowds be allowed back at Pittodrie for the 2021/22 season?

Following the positive developments in recent weeks with vaccinations, with some fans set to return in England, the timeline for easing restrictions in Scotland and the announcement of 12,500 fans allowed to attend the European Championship matches at Hampden in June we are increasingly confident that fans will be allowed to return to Pittodrie from the beginning of the 2021/22 season.

What happens if crowds are not allowed, or I can’t gain access to matches due to partial capacity as a result of COVID-19 restrictions?

Season Ticket Holders will once again receive virtual access to any matches affected by Covid-19 restrictions in 2021/22.

Matches will be broadcast to Season Ticket Holders via a separate portal on RedTV, this will also include any home matches selected by Sky Sports.

If partial capacity is required and the number of fans allowed to attend is lower than the number of Season Ticket Holders, a ballot will be run amongst those who wish to be considered to attend.
